Biography

Tania Martínez Portugal is a Feminist Lecturer in the Department of Applied Economics at the University of the Basque Country-Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea. She holds a degree in Political Science and Administration and a PhD Cum Laude in Feminist and Gender Studies.

She studied a Master's Degree in Globalisation and Development at HEGOA (UPV-EHU) opting for the Local and Sustainable Development branch. She started her career working in research projects and Development Education from/for social organisations and, later on, she went on to develop her academic career within the university. Her main line of research is gender-based violence, especially those affecting women, from an intersectional perspective.
