Biography

I am currently retired and I am an honorary lecturer at the University of the Basque Country. For over 20 years I taught the Development Economics and International Economics subjects. I was the head of the Hegoa Institute of International Development and Cooperation Studies from 1996 to 2010. During the 1980s I was the executive secretary of the Bolivian Human Rights Assembly and researcher with the CRIES Regional Coordinator of Economic and Social Research and managing editor of the Nicaraguan journal Pensamiento Propio. My activity has been linked to international development cooperation, and I have been on the management teams of Spanish and Basque non-governmental development organizations as well as the ACADE Association of Professionals for Quality in Development.
