University and the effectiveness of community development: towards an integral model for the promotion of communal appropriation in the autonomous regions of Nicaragua

On May 12th, 2016, Jose Luis Saballos defended his doctoral thesis titled "La universidad y la efectividad del desarrollo comunitario: hacia un modelo integral de promoción de la apropiación comunitaria en las regiones autónomas de Nicaragua (University and the effectiveness of community development: towards an integral model for the promotion of communal appropriation in the autonomous regions of Nicaragua)" within the Doctoral Programme in Development Studies at hegoa. The thesis, international in character, was developed under the supervision of Koldo Unceta. 

Jose Luis Saballos, professor at the Universidad URACCAN in Nicaragua, carried out a research stay at Hegoa, during the years 2010 and 2011, as part of his doctoral training, through an Erasmus Mundus scholarship.
