Biography
He holds a PhD in Development Studies from the Hegoa Institute, University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), and a Masters in Globalization and Development from the same institution, a Masters in Applied Economic Analysis from the University of Alcalá and a Masters in Economic Development and Sustainability from Pablo de Olavide University. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Universidad del Valle (Cali, Colombia).
His research topics include the analysis of development theories, discourses and practices, the analysis of the relationships between socioeconomic and ecological systems, sustainability, social welfare measures and international development cooperation. He has been the technical coordinator of the Spanish Network of Development Studies (REEDES) between April 2018 and March 2025. He currently works in the Advisory and Projects Area of Hegoa.
