Biography
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and Master’s degrees in International Cooperation and Emancipatory Education and in Feminist and Gender Studies, both from the University of the Basque Country (EHU). She received the Solidarity Engineering Award for her work “The Human Right to Water and Sanitation from Feminist and Human Development Perspectives in the Context of International Cooperation in El Rodeo Hamlet (El Salvador).” She is currently in her fourth year of the Social Education degree at UNED.
A feminist activist and member of grassroots Christian movements with a working-class background, she has served as Secretary General and Head of Economy of the youth and student movement JEC. She has been an international volunteer in Quibdó (Colombia) and has worked as an International Cooperation Project Officer in Bolivia and Peru.
She is currently a training officer at the Hegoa Institute, where she is responsible for the technical coordination of the Online Master’s in International Cooperation and Emancipatory Education and the PhD Programme in Development Studies.
