Last places available for the Official Master’s in Globalisation and Development (2025-2026)
The final pre-registration period for the official Master’s in Globalisation and Development will be open from 2 to 4 July. This is one of two university master’s programmes coordinated by the Hegoa Institute and the Department of Applied Economics at the University of the Basque Country (EHU).
The programme is aimed at academic specialisation and researcher training in relation to globalisation and development processes. It takes an interdisciplinary approach and belongs to the tradition of Development Studies.
Some of the most noteworthy content of this master's degree relates to sustainable development, gender perspectives, conflict and security, and the social economy.
The master’s also offers the chance to undertake extracurricular internships in the Basque Country. Although these are not compulsory to obtain the qualification, they provide students with an opportunity to put their learning into practice and to gain first-hand experience of the world of international cooperation.

It can be completed in full (60 credits) or in a modular format: either the Specialisation in International Cooperation (30 credits) or the Specialisation in Emancipatory Education (30 credits).
