Conceptual debates and organisational asppects of solidarity economy: the case of REAS Euskadi

Hegoa Institute profesor, Juan Karlos Perez de Mendiguren, defended his thesis on September 23rd, 2014, at the UPV/EHU Business School in Vitoria-Gasteiz. The thesis, titled “Debates conceptuales y aspectos organizativos de la economía solidaria: el caso de REAS Euskadi (Conceptual debates and organisational asppects of solidarity economy: the case of REAS Euskadi)” is enrolled in the Development Studies Programme and has been supervised by Koldo Unceta.

The thesis analyses the complex relations between the defended principles within solidarity economy and the organising formulas that it adopts. In order to this, Juan Karlos Perez de Mendiguren has conducted a deep and systematic analysis of the experiences of the business that form part of REAS Euskadi, counting with the participation of their workers as well as with the support of the managers at REAS.
