Pre-registration period for Hegoa's master's degrees on cooperation and development begins

Date: 2023 February 28

The pre-enrolment period for the official master's degrees in Development and International Cooperation and in Globalisation and Development, both coordinated by Hegoa Institute and the UPV/EHU's Department of Applied Economics, begins on 1 March. In the coming weeks, the deadline for the online master's degree in International Cooperation and Emancipatory Education will also open.

The Official Master's Degree in Development and International Cooperation is mainly aimed at training staff specialised in international cooperation for development, with equity and the fight against poverty, human development and sustainability as fundamental references. It includes curricular and compulsory internships in a project in Latin America, Africa, Asia or Europe.

The Official Master's Degree in Globalisation and Development is aimed at academic specialisation and the training of researchers in relation to the phenomenon of globalisation and development processes. It is interdisciplinary in nature and is part of the Development Studies tradition. It includes the possibility of extracurricular internships in the Basque Country.

In addition to these two official degrees, Hegoa and the UPV/EHU coordinate the Master's Degree in International Cooperation and Emancipatory Education. It is a university-accredited degree that is taught through the virtual campus and aims to train people to promote critical development cooperation by strengthening political subjects capable of promoting social justice and emancipatory education.

The three master's degrees are financially supported by the Basque Agency for Development Cooperation / Garapenerako Lankidetzaren Euskal Agentzia.
