On 11th June, 2019, Iratxe Amiano Bonachea defended her doctoral thesis “La responsabilidad social universitaria desde la perspectiva de la pertinencia social: Mecanismos de interlocución con la sociedad en el caso de las universidades españolas (University social responsibility from the perspective of social pertinence: Interlocution mechanisms with society in the case of Spanish universities)”. The thesis addresses the role of higher education in the current economic and social context dominated by globalisation and insecurity. The thesis was directed by Koldo Unceta Satrustegui and Jorge Gutierrez Goiria.
