19th June, Bilbao: Presentation of the book "Exilios y Lejanías. Relatos de mujeres colombianas"

The Hegoa Institute invites you to the presentation of the book Exilios y Lejanías. Relatos de mujeres colombianas, which will take place in room 03 of the Faculty of Economics and Business in Sarriko on 19 June 2024 at 18:00.

This event will be attended by the authors who have contributed their stories to the pages of this book, by the editorial coordinator, who has supported the creative process, and by the illustrator of the book, who has added colour to the words.

This is a book written and illustrated by Colombian women who live far from Colombia, in countries such as Germany, Canada, Denmark, Spain, Italy, Norway and Sweden. The authors, based on the diversity of their identities, ethnicities and ages, have written stories that share a central focus on certain themes, such as peace, migration and refuge.

Exilios y Lejanías. Relatos de mujeres colombianas is also the result of a workshop held during the year 2023, in which these women, through writing as a process, have been able to capture in letters those experiences that tore at their hearts during the journey into exile.
