Recognition Act: “Recognise me. Exiled Colombia in Euskadi”

Date: 2021 June 2

The Commission for the Clarification of Truth, Coexistence and Non-repetition of Colombia and Hegoa Institute, with the compromise and support of the Direction of Human Rights, Victims and Diversity of the Basque Government, invite to attend the Recognition Act: Recognise me. Exiled Colombia in Euskadi that will take place at the Oteiza room in Bizkaia Aretoa, Bilbao, on June 15th between 10am and 1pm.

The Commission searches for the recognition of the impacts and lasting effects of the conflict; and looks to dignify the emotional upsets and resistance of the people that, due to armed conflict, have been forced to move to other countries.

In Euskadi, the Commission wants to recognise the courage, strength and effort of the people that try to rebuild their life projects and meaning, and the contribution to the promotion and defense of human rights by the groups, entities, organisations and Basque institutions, as a step towards Non-Repetition.

Accompany us in continuing to contribute to peace building from the Colombia outside of Colombia!

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, please confirm assistance, both physical or virtual (the event will be retransmitted via streaming), before June 9th via email to: ceveuskadi@gmail.com
